We are a independent parent carer forum run by local parents.
The Forum is run by a group of parents who are passionate about making a positive difference to improve the quality of life for SEND families in Wigan Borough.
With over 2,600 families connected through our parent community, we bring families together to share experiences, find support, access information, and make sure the voices of SEND families are heard. We work closely with local services and decision-makers to help improve support and opportunities for children, young people, and their families across Wigan.
- We work with families of children and young people aged 0-25 years, who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
- We represent the collective voice of parents carers in Wigan Borough
- We work in partnership with service commissioners and providers such as Wigan Council (LA), Wigan Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) as well as other providers.
- We aim to make sure the services they plan and deliver meet the needs of SEND families in Wigan
- We are working to achieve better outcomes for families through participation and co-production.
- OUR VISION - Services across education, health and care, will reflect the views and input of parent/carers meaning they are delivered as personalised services to meet the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities
