How do we make sure your opinions are heard
We are Wigan's Parent Carer Forum, staffed entirely by parents and carers of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Drawing on our own lived experience and representing a community of more than 2,600 families, Each month we hold parent sessions and we listen to your voices on many subjects
As a strategic partner within the local SEND system, we work collaboratively with the local authority, health services, education providers, and voluntary sector organisations to ensure that the voices and experiences of parent carers help shape local services, policies, and decision-making. We listen and share your voices to try and support improvements that lead to better outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
