Preparing for Adulthood - Parent Carer Workshops

Wigan Parent Carer Forum are working in partnership with Wigan Council's Supporting Skills and Futures Team to run a 6 week workshop for parent carers of young people aged 14+ with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
We will have a range of different services and practitioners from the Local Authority, Health and various organisations attending each week to provide you with a plethora of information needed around preparing for adulthood for young people with Sepcial Educational Needs and /or Disabilities.

We are delighted this Course with be Facilitated by Caroline Tomlinson CEO and founder of My Life who has vast experience of navigating these systems and empowering others to do so. As we look at what can be a complex time in our young people's lives, working together with those services providing support we will be more informed and prepared in supporting our young people in preparing for adulthood.
When?
Thursday 19th September 10am-2pm and will run each Thursday for 6 weeks.
(Please note you must be able to commit to all 6 sessions)
